Red Wine Selections
California Chianti
When we set out to produce this wine, we looked directly to the area in Europe in which its counterpart was being produced. We looked to the classics from the Tuscany region as well as the Veneto region in north-east Italy. To blend in a similar style in which the formula has always specified a red grape and a white, we chose specifically a Ruby Cabernet red and a French Colombard white. Slightly sweet, this wine is fruity, rich and very easy drinking. A wonderful accompaniment to so many of your daily meals. (not to mention your favorite Italian Cuisine!)

The palate is vivid with lemongrass, green olives, and lightly ripened mango. Lively tannins and medium body. Syrah Hofer/Hippard Ranch, Pride of Cucamonga
Syrah is one of the world's most noble black grape varieties, if nobility is bestowed by an ability to produce serious red wines capable of aging majestically.
Widely planted in France's Rhone Valley, Syrah has become quite popular among California vintners and consumers over the past decade. Known as Shiraz in Australia, Syrah produces richly flavored, deeply colored wines. Cucamonga's sun sloped alluvil foothills of sandy, gravel loam, warm days and cool nights serve as excellent terroir for the rich Syrah grape.
Aromas of rich berry fruit, pepper and hints of spice. Medium body with sharp tannins and lingering finish. Pairs well with flavorful brie, gazpacho, or lasagna. Cellar to 2012 and decant recommended. Only 1,956 bottles produced. Alc. 14.6% per Vol.
